La Conchita Community Organization
a 501(C)3 non-profit organization

La Conchita is a vibrant, thriving community that is threatened by the hillside that traverses the whole eastern edge of the town. Residents are blue collar, white collar, retired and new born. They are new in town, raised in town, raised in town then left and returned to raise their own families here, and long time residents. Full time residents, weekenders, renters and visitors who just can’t leave make for an interesting mix that defines our community.

The LCCO was formed on Jan. 15, 2005 by a majority of the community at "Oren Park" on Surfside. There were over 70 residents in attendance. A chairperson was selected and street captains were voluntarily appointed. The consensus of the attendees was to form an organization to actively seek a solution to our problem and make the La Conchita coastal corridor a safe and beautiful place to pass through and live in.
